Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), the popularity of Swift grew, and she was able to enter the world of pop music with a clear sense of where she deserved to be. In the end, when she refocused her music to the stripped-down versions of 2020, folklore, and Evermore, she still remained at the top. It was a position that was confirmed through re-recordings of her previous catalogue as along with Midnights, her synth-heavy chart-topping 2022 album.
