In 2017, he changed his name from Mike Towers to Myke Towers as a nod to the movement of music called Young Kingz of which he is a participant, changing the i to a y initial letter that is the first character in the name of the group. Myke towers is an Puerto Rico underground rapper who started his journey in his teens. The rapper released his first songs, freestyles, and compositions as well as lyrics on SoundCloud. The artist gained fame in 2014 with tracks like Dia de cobro Por Mi Es Normal and En los Bloques. The year 2014 saw him gain notoriety for his La Nueva Droga freestyle and interpretation of Drake's original zero-to-100%.
