Amy Smart was an American model and actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. Her acting debut came at the age of 16 in The TV production Her Costly Affair. The struggle she had to get a part for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. This was not easy for Amy as she had transition from modelling to acting. Models aren't considered great actors so they tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy did not give up. Her first role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. She then ventured into the lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy attained the fame she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years when her film, Just Friends was released. The actress continued to appear in major films, such as Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she became a cherished recurring role.
