Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Amy Smart, born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Then, in a minor role in the movie Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. The transition was difficult for Amy since she needed to move from modelling into the acting profession. Models aren't regarded as the best actors so they tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy was determined to succeed and eventually she was offered bigger roles beginning at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. She then ventured into the leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she had been chasing since the age of 10. There were several major films in the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role in The Shameless series.
