
Kelly Clarkson (in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson) was born on April 24, 1982 from Fort Worth, Texas. Clarkson is an American singer-songwriter and television personality. In 2002, she was the winner of her first American Idol talent contest. Clarkson was born in Burleson Texas (a suburban area in Fort Worth), where her vocal talents were initially noticed by her seventh grade class teacher. Clarkson quit high school in order to relocate into Los Angeles where she failed to make it in the industry of entertainment. Following her return to Texas in 2002, Clarkson was a contestant for the American Idol, a show broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Co. American Idol. This singing competition let viewers choose their top performer. Clarkson was well-liked by viewers because of her charismatic voice and sense of humor. Her prize for winning the competition was $1 million as well as an agreement to record with RCA.
